Hello, world!

So it’s been… yits ben… about two years. Here’s the meat of what’s new with the site and some goals.

site stuff

1. New theme! This is the biggest and most obvious thing. Don’t worry as a lottttt of stuff hasn’t moved (check the menu). It’s aesthetically the same, for the most part, but the engine underneath is now Hugo! which means…
2. Focus on blogging! Hugo is going to make it easier for me to update my site in the form of a blog. I hate the feeling of leaving my site abandoned like I do periodically, and I love writing, so I hope that this will get me more active. Speaking of activvve…
3. Goals… there are still a few pages that I just havent given any special attention to. As follows, these are the pages I wanna work on:
   • Music media. I would love to use discog’s API to spit out all my current records onto this page.
   • Ricky memorial. I still miss my puppy. I want to host a page with cute pictures of my boy.
   • Gizzy page. My pet lizard. She deserves a spot!
   • Mazes. A hobby of mine is drawing mazes – I wanna share that on my site!

life stuff

1. I got a new job! It’s with a large company in a narrow department. It’s cool. And it’s a contract with a high conversion rate to go full time. Yay!
2. I moved! I’m in a new state! It’s lovely. I’m still in the southern US, and I don’t think I could ever really leave it. Sometimes I wonder about going to Canada or something but I could never abandon the food here. My fatass.
3. New fixations. I don’t know, is this really important? I’ve gotten really into Nirvanna the Band. And sticker collecting and journaling.

Okay. I think I’m good. Bye.

Hey gay! First off I want to prove that I’m not just sitting on my ass and am actually working on this site. Sooooo here’s stuff :~)

Dream Corp LLC

OMGEEZY a new shrine in progress! Dream Corp LLC is one of my favorite shows ever, and I’ve been meaning to do a kind of playful early web interface based on the aesthetics of the series. It’s about a sleep lab that enters your dreams to solve your issues, like your soft dick or daddy issues or rashes. Apparently the showrunners beat me to the idea but whatevs. I looked at a few web archives and found a lot of these halftone pixel gradients and I was able to replicate it with Aseprite :)

First, check the official mount information for Neocities. If you’re on MacOS, or Linux there’s straightforward directions for you :) If you’re on Windows, it just says to download Cyberduck or Mountain Duck. If you’re like me you need like. Way more direction than that lol so here’s what I do.

First, download Cyberduck here.

Connecting your Site

Once it’s downloaded, open Cyberduck and click “Open Connection”. Use the following settings.

Hooray! Going to try to keep a regular blog on this site. Sooo lets see.

da life…

Obviously popping.

I’m working an IT help desk job and it’s been fun but difficult. I think I’m going to become a sysadmin, and I’m going for my CCNA soon if I can focus enough to study. I graduated this past summer, and my commencement ceremony is in December! I guess the only poop part is dealing with family stuff but I can deal for a little while longer. I had a difficult time being a person a few months ago but I feel like focusing on this I enjoy, like webdev, is helpful. I hope I can get myself in a comfortable position to move out within the next two years or so… I think I’d enjoy a townhouse or something small. Student loans are kicking ass. Oh and my birthday is this month! I wonder what I’ll do :~)
